What does joining get me?

Joining the PTA gets you access to the online directory, our weekly newsletter with Maybeury events, programs, and volunteer signups, access to sign up to paint our Spirit Rock and an amplified voice within the Maybeury community.

What does the PTA do?

The PTA is a volunteer run organization dedicated to serving all students at Maybeury. We plan events and programs, fund initiatives within the school, coordinate with teachers and staff, and strive to make every day at Maybeury a better experience for everyone.

Do I have to volunteer?

No! If you sign up, there is absolutely no obligation to volunteer. We will send you volunteer opportunities but there is absolutely nothing required of you. Your involvement is totally up to you.

Do I have to attend meetings?

Nope! While we would love to have you, you do not need to attend any meetings if you join.

How do I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved within the PTA.

1. Throughout the year, we'll send out volunteer opportunities via our weekly newsletters. There will be options to volunteer for events, programs, activities and more. 
2. Take a look at our committees and see if there's one that stands out to you. If so, reach out to maybeuryptapres@gmail.com so we can connect you to the committee. 
3. Do you have a specific skill or asset you think would be valuable, but aren't sure how it could apply? Email maybeuryptapres@gmail.com so we can talk! We are always open to new ideas.
4. Interested in joining the board? Positions are rotated every 2 years, with the next transition occurring in 2028. If there's a position you may be interested in, reach out to the board member directly for more information. 

What should I do after joining? 

We're so glad to have you! There is nothing required of you after joining. You'll start receiving weekly newsletters on Fridays with information on how you can get involved, if you'd like to.
